Dear Vendor,
The 2011 Belize Day in the Park Festival will be held on Sunday, August 7th at Hawthorne Race Course. The response to Hawthorne Race Course was very positive so it was chosen as the venue for our 2011 festival.
In order to participate in our event, each vendor will be required to have a Village of Stickney Temporary Permit. For your convenience, this will be managed by the committee and Hawthorne Race Course. The price of obtaining your permit is included in your application fee. It is imperative that you complete the appropriate Village of Stickney application form and return it to the committee along with your completed vendor application. Food vendors should review the sanitation guidelines for the event thoroughly to ensure that they are in compliance on the day of the event.
Hawthorne Race Course holds the liquor license for this event and the sale of alcohol is limited to Hawthorne Race Course and their approved vendors only. Sale of alcoholic beverages by Belize Day in the Park vendors is prohibited.
Many vendors have utilized tents larger that the required 10x10 which creates challenges with the layout plan of the event. Your application fee covers the cost of a tent size 10 feet wide and 20 feet deep. You will only be provided with 10 feet width for the front portion of your booth. If you require more than 10 feet, you must purchase an additional booth space.
The in-field of Hawthorne Race Course will be utilized for the event and can only be accessed through a tunnel. A cargo van or small 18 feet U-Haul box truck must be utilized in order to gain access to the event area. Additional information regarding the day of event will be sent to you upon receipt of your completed application.
The committee is accepting installment payments this year. All applicants must submit a 50% deposit by May 1st, 2011. Deadline for return of this year's application and final payment is June 15th, 2011. A $25.00 late fee will be applied after June 15th, 2011. Cancellations prior June 1st are subject to a $50 processing fee. Cancellations after June 15th, 2011 are subject to a $150.00 processing fee for non-food and $295.00 processing fee for food vendors. This fee includes cost the Village of Stickney Temporary Permit.
Please return your completed application which includes the Village of Stickney Temporary Permit application and the appropriate registration
